NEW YORK, NY – Today, candidate for State Assembly Micah Lasher announced endorsements from all three democratic clubs located in the district which he seeks to represent: Three Parks Independent Democrats, West Side Democrats, and Broadway Democrats. With the support of these groups of neighborhood activists, Lasher’s campaign gains momentum as petitioning season approaches.
“These three Democratic clubs have more than a century of history between them as fiercely independent and fiercely progressive grassroots organizations, and their support means the world to me,” Micah Lasher said. “The work of community activists is what wins elections and holds power to account. I look forward to campaigning with them across the West Side, Manhattan Valley, and Morningside Heights and partnering together in the future to build a stronger and more resilient city and state.”
The clubs join a growing list of progressive leaders in support of Lasher, including Congressmember Jerry Nadler, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Assemblyperson Linda Rosenthal, City Councilperson Shaun Abreu, Fmr. City Comptroller Scott Stringer, and Fmr. Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger.
