NEW YORK, NY – Micah Lasher, candidate for New York State Assembly in the 69th District, today announced that he has received the first labor endorsement in the race, from Teamsters Local 817. Teamsters Local 817 represents more than 1500 members across New York City working in film, television, and stage production.

O’Donnell, President of Teamsters Local 817. “We are convinced that he has the expertise and the passion to effectively represent working New Yorkers locally and across the Empire State.”

Local 817 endorsement is the latest in a series of endorsements from progressive leaders and organizations known and trusted by the voters of the 69th Assembly District, including Congressmember Jerry Nadler, Congressmember Adriano Espaillat, City Comptroller Brad Lander, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, State Senator Robert Jackson, State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal, City Councilmember Shaun Abreu, City Councilmember Gale Brewer, former City Comptroller Scott Stringer, and former Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger. Lasher has also been endorsed by all three Democratic clubs in the district: Broadway Democrats, Three Parks Independent Democrats, and West Side Democrats.
