NEW YORK, NY – Micah Lasher, candidate for New York State Assembly in the 69th District, today announced that he has received endorsement of the Civil Service Employees Association, one of the largest worker unions in the State of New York. CSEA represents more than 300,000 employees in state and local government, as well as school districts, child care, and the private sector.
“CSEA is proud to endorse Micah Lasher for State Assembly,” said Lester Crockett, CSEA Metro Region President. “We know that he has the experience and determination we need to improve workers’ rights and protections in Albany.”

CSEA joins a coalition of progressive leaders and organizations known and trusted by the voters of the 69th Assembly District, including Congressmember Jerry Nadler, Congressmember Adriano Espaillat, City Comptroller Brad Lander, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, State Senator Robert Jackson, State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal, Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal, City Councilmember Shaun Abreu, City Councilmember Gale Brewer, former City Comptroller Scott Stringer, and former Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger. Lasher has also been endorsed by all three Democratic clubs in the district: Broadway Democrats, Three Parks Independent Democrats, and West Side Democrats, as well as Teamsters Local 817.
